Beltit Powerfiles - 110v
110v Beltit Powerfile machines. Three different tools:
SH range: Variable speed control from 0 - 8,000rpm and a good selection of interchangeable arm options. With an 11,00 watt motor we particularly recommend the SH tools for stainless steel fabricators.
BF range: Fixed speed with a range of variable arm options. Preferred by steel fabricators. For finishing and grinding complex profiles.
BG range: Powerful 110v machines. 3 machine options each machine has a single fixed arm. Ideal for production environments with a repeatable grinding process.

Beltit Powerfiles - 110v FAQs
When should I use variable speed on a powerfile machine?
Control is particularly beneficial when working on stainless steel or aluminium whether you are grinding, finishing or polishing. Reducing speed will also remove heat from the grinding process which will increase abrasive belt life and reduce the risk of damaging the workpiece.
How long does it take to change the arms on a belt file?
Very quickly. Simply pop the belt off. Loosen the locking nut. Drop in the replacement arm and tighten the machine up. Done.
Will I need to track the belts?
Particularly when you are first setting up your Beltit belt file you may need to track the belts, but that is a simple process. There is a small adjustment wheel at the base of the arm. Whilst the machine is turned off move the belt by hand to see if it ‘runs true’ on the contact wheel. If it moves along the wheel to the left or right then make a quarter turn adjustment and try check again. Tracking is rarely needed once the machine is up and running.
What is the benefit of having inter-changeable arms on my belt file?
This is a simple method of increasing the flexibility of your purchase. Grinding in a fillet weld then a narrow belt is needed. Polishing a flat surface in a channel then a better finish will be achieved with a wider belt.
