The 80 grit belts are by far the most popular belts for the D&T departments.  Enough aggression to be able to remove wood and metal when required but in a controlled manner.

Aluminium Oxide Belts:

We stock the 80 grit belts in our TX52, aluminium oxide material.  Ideal for softwoods and general wood sanding.

With a much faster cut and longer life our HZ72 zirconia belts are the best choice for metal working departments and also for working on hardwoods.

Ceramic Abrasive Belts:

The 150 x 1090mm belts are also commonly used in engineering workshops.  Our most popular sanding belt for high stock removal and durability is our FX87 40 grit ceramic belt.  The ideal belt when the belt is used for shaping and grinding of tool steels and stainless steel.  In this scenario the FX87 is by far the most cost effective option.
