Time Saving Kit Set 1 (TSK01)

Will easily remove a stainless steel tig weld without undercutting or gouging the flat steel surface.  Once the weld has been removed; re-grain the stainless steel to a fine satin finish.  Finally the TSK01 contains the Inoxitape which makes it easy to create pin sharp mitre corners.

Set 1 uses the 237GR Trizact discs to refine the weld and the FMCM combination brushes in partnership with the Inoxitape to restore the finish.  The ideal machine to use with the TSK01 is the Cibo Finipower Plus variable speed grinder

Time Saving Kit Set 2 (TSK02)

Is designed to work in partnership with a fillet weld grinder  such as the Cibo FinitEasy.

The MA8 unitised discs will grind the stainless tig weld in the corner of the radius.  The MA8 will also blend the radius such that the weld edge is invisible.  Step 2 uses the  SA5 unitised disc to create the soft satin finish on the stainless steel tube.  Set 2 uses the  RebelOne unitised fillet weld grinding discs and the Tex grip strips.

Time Saving Kit Set 3 (TSK03)

The third satin finishing stainless steel kit is designed to sand tig weld on the outer radius of the tube.  The Cibo RCD discs will blend the weld to a clean sharp finish and leave a consistent soft satin finish on the stainless steel tube in one step.  The TSK03 also includes the SAG5 unitised discs to blend the finish a step further.  Set 3 uses the RCD combination flap discs in partnership with the SAG unitised discs to create a fine satin finish.  The ideal machine to use with the TSK03 is the Cibo Finipower Plus variable speed grinder

Brushed Satin Finish

If you need to put a satin finish on stainless steel hand rails, then Time Saving Kit 3 is the ideal choice.

Included in the kit is all you need to remove a weld (or any scratches, damage or even heavy grinding marks) and put a high quality fine ‘shopping centre’ standard satin finish on your stainless handrails.

The answer is a simple yes.  If you want a high quality finish and if you want to reduce your abrasive costs.

Different grades of metal require specific speeds to optimise the cutting, sanding and finishing processes.

–  Stainless steel will work harden if you grind at too high a speed or pressure.  It will also cause the abrasive to glaze over which will in turn cause heat generation to increase. Lowering the speed will allow the abrasive to cut more effectively and increase the lifetime of the disc.

–  Aluminium has a different problem.  Aluminium has a lower melt temperature so if you grind at too high a speed the metal will begin to plasticise and ultimately melt.  The plasticised aluminium will stick to the abrasive sanding belt, disc or pad causing it to clog up.

Consider a drill.  Nobody would try to drill through steel, or stainless steel or aluminum at the same cutting speed; abrasives are no different.

A variable speed grinder will reduce the grinding heat, increase the process control, reduce re-working and ultimately save money on your abrasive consumables as they can last much longer when used at the correct speed.

The Cibo Kits were developed specifically for stainless steel finishing but very similar principles apply.  You can use all the same products to finish brass on either a fillet weld grinder or a variable speed angle grinder.
