How to satin finish aluminium and brass tube with the Finimaster Pro drum sander

Need to know how to satin finish aluminium and brass tube with the Finimaster Pro drum sander?

We supply an M14 belt drive wheel which fits onto the Finimaster Pro.

On an open ended tube it is easy to turn a flexible abrasive belt inside out and slide it onto the tube. With a closed tube use the velcro fixing belts. Wrap the abrasive belt around the tube and fix the belt tightly with the velcro strip.

Step 1. Sand the tube with the 180 grit to create a fine grain structure in the aluminium / brass. We have also included some 150, 220 and 240 grit belt options if you would prefer a coarser or finer grain structure

Step 2. Refine the finish with the ‘scotchbrite’ / tex belts to leave a soft satin finish
