Removing fillet welds is not a problem as long as you have easy access to the weld. But that is the problem!! If your weld angle is 90 degrees , or more acute, how do you get in? That is why Cibo developed the FinitEasy fillet weld grinder. A long reach arm built on a variable speed motor unit gives clear access with good visibility. The only question then is, 'Which products do I need?'
The ideal product depends on the width of the weld. With a tig weld you are normally looking at a weld radius of approx 3mm so we are recommending 3mm wide wheels for removing the weld.
SA 7: Fast material removal of the metal to leave an approx 320 grit finish SA5:
The SA5 will remove the top of the tig weld ripple and, more importantly, pre-polish the finish from the SA7 disc if you need to go to a finer and brighter finish.
