Mechanically removing weld discolouration will cause a change in the surface finish of the stainless steel leaving a brighter finish. We have assumed that a high quality satin finish will be the most common option for this solution.
We have therefore chosen the Fine grade of Tex / scotchbrite flap wheel which will remove the weld discolouration easily and quickly and leave a fine / soft satin finish. We have left the choice on wheel diameter up to you.
The 4 options below are for the different most commonly used diameters: 30mm, 50mm, 60mm and 80mm.
Alternatively, give our brand new Unitised Wheel a go: Exceptional life span (exceeding the TS wheels), the FAUS Unitised wheels give a soft satin finish and are a great choice where scotchbrite wheels are wearing too quickly when working on edges.
