Variable Speed Grinder – Stainless steel Mirror Polish - Butt Weld

If you have never used this process before then we would strongly recommend you buy the Cibo Time Saving KIt Set 6. The set 6 kit will give you all the products you need to start removing and mirror polishing butt welds and external corners with a variable speed grinder.

The kit also includes full written instructions on how to complete the process and a video showing the full process, including tips and tricks along the way to make the job easy.

If you would prefer to just go ahead and buy product for your job then the discs are laid out below in the correct sequence to do everything from removing the tig weld to finishing with a bright mirror polished finish.

What if I only want to polish over the weld?

Then we recommend you start with the SAG grade 5 disc. SAG 5 will remove any light scratches and damage from the surface of your stainless steel and prepare the surface for polishing with the VAP + PV102 polish.

n.b. As all variable speed grinders can use 5″ / 125mm diameter discs we have selected 5″ diameter discs for this process.
