Which Actirox Sanding Disc Should I Be Using?

Designed for high aggression grinding of steel and stainless steel. There are two distinct products within the Actirox sanding disc range, the AF890 and the AF799. Both are designed for angle grinder use and come in 36+, 60+ and 80+ grit sizes.

Actirox AF890:

Grain Type: Actirox Ceramic

Bond: Full-resin bonded

Backing: Vulcanised fibre

Developed for use on super alloys and stainless steel, but also suitable for aluminium, unalloyed steel, and non-ferrous metal.

AF890 sets new standards in stock removal and grinding speeds when machining superalloys and stainless steel. With the grinding-active TOP SIZE additional layer, the fibre disc minimises unwanted tarnishing and heat-induced material deformations. AF890 achieves its full performance when used with high-speed angle grinders.

AF799 optimally extends the range of possible applications: This fibre disc really plays to its strengths when processing unalloyed steels and aluminium. Metal swarf is removed more effectively thanks to reduced chip adhesion.
