What is Actirox?

    What is Actirox?

Actirox is the brand-new material designed to give you maximum stock removal.  It will give you a better grinding performance than comparable conventional abrasives.

Actirox is made from premium ceramic abrasive grain in a geometric form that ensures an aggressive cut even at low contact pressure.  Which means less noise, reduced vibration and less strain when grinding.

It provides all this and still ensure consistent surface finish.

What are the Actirox discs available in?

The new Actirox discs are available in 36+, 60+ and 80+ grit sizes. The advantages of 36+ grit size is maximum stock removal for rough grinding tasks such as bevelling, deburring, and levelling. Interesting for industries such as shipbuilding, vehicle construction, plant engineering and the construction industry. While also reducing production costs.

60+ and 80+ are ideal for precise rough grinding: for example, removing fine weld seams. It would be used in container and apparatus construction and in the furniture industry. There would be no need for subsequent grinding steps or time-consuming reworking.

What is the technology behind Actirox?

e grain technology is what makes Actirox special.  Each grain is geometrically shaped with upright abrasive grains at optimum angles to ensure an aggressive cut. There is maximum performance thanks to optimum size coat all on dimensionally stable vulcanised fibre backing.

The geometrically shaped ceramic grain leads to a consistent breaking down of the abrasive grain.  This constantly produces new and sharp edges.

Actirox grinds faster, longer and cuts costs.

    How is this all achieved?

    1. Maximum stock removal reduces costs
    2. High performance with low to medium contact pressure reduces the strain on plant and personnel
    3. Faster grinding reduces workpiece processing time
    4. Reduced changeover times thanks to longer service life
    5. Less material waste with cooler grinding

Practice has shown that ACTIROX abrasives have a higher abrasive performance than comparable conventional abrasives – with a consistent surface finish. You achieve higher stock removal than you would expect with the specified grit size, but you do not get a rougher surface. A real plus for your grinding process.
